Aug. 3--Macquarie International Holding, a subsidiary of Australia-based Macquarie Bank, plans to open a securities office in Thailand today.
The new Macquarie Securities office is based on a licence formerly held by ING Securities. ING, with paid-up capital of 200 million baht, had been 55 percent held by Atlas Capital (Thailand) and 45 percent by ING Baring Holding.
ING in March announced that it would sell its cash equity and equity capital market operations in Asia to Macquarie Bank. In addition to the Thai office, Macquarie also took over operations in Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, China, ...
