Nov. 6--Chao Phraya Thani Co, a privately owned land developer, will spend 1.4 billion baht to build a new mega retail project near Don Muang airport, combining key characteristics of major markets such as the Chatuchak weekend market.
The new 24-hour market, to be called Bangkok Gate Plaza, is scheduled to open by the end of next year.
Owned by Vichien Klinsukont, the proprietor of Merry King Department Store in Saphan Kwai, the new market will be located on a 200-rai plot on Phahon Yothin Road. It will feature Thai products nationwide and will include a wet market, plus areas for cosmetics, jewellery, ...
