Thai Bank Restricts Commercial Loans.

Nov. 5--Krung Thai Bank will restrict lending under its commercial microbanking programme to communities with solid organisational systems in place to limit credit risks, says Sthiti Chupatanakul, the bank's executive vice-president and special projects group chief.
The bank expects to lend 500 million baht under the programme this year, aimed at helping jump-start new business development in rural communities.
Mr Sthiti said loans under the programme would vary depending on the business size and repayment capability of the community itself.
