Nov. 4--Business travellers, once the high-yield darlings of the airline industry have now joined low-yield leisure travellers in the search for deals, putting further financial pressure on an industry that is already suffering from the costs of boosting security.
According to the International Air Transport Association (IATA), which has been monitoring opinions on global business travel, 28 percent of business travellers who responded to an October survey expect a decrease in their company's air travel budget. However, almost half of this 28 percent expect the number of company flights to either increase or remain the same.
