The Republican National Convention will require the services of nearly every police officer in the city. As a result, security firms that usually count on off-duty cops are looking elsewhere for their staffing needs during the RNC, from Aug. 30 to Sept. 2.
Global Security Services is recruiting 50 state troopers, sheriffs and deputies from New Jersey and Connecticut for the 21 convention parties for which it will provide security.
