TEMPE, Ariz. _ The Arizona Cardinals played the Raiders on Sunday minus three of their top four wide receivers and starting running back Thomas Jones. They also played in their home stadium before a pro-Raiders crowd.
One had to figure the Cardinals needed plenty of fortuitous breaks and an off game by Oakland's top-ranked offense to win.
The Raiders did their best to accommodate the hapless Cardinals by committing a slew of head-scratching penalties, yet still managed a less-than-inspiring 41-20 victory at Sun Devil Stadium.
