MADISON, Wis. _ For the third time in four years the University of Wisconsin was not up to the challenge.

The Badgers lost to Wake Forest, 90-80, at the Kohl Center on Wednesday in the fourth annual ACC/Big Ten Challenge, playing from behind most of the way against a Demon Deacon team that used its quickness, rebounding ability and a monster game from senior Josh Howard to snap Wisconsin's 14-game home winning streak.

Wake Forest (3-0) also gave the Atlantic Coast Conference bragging rights in the event for a fourth consecutive year. The 5-4 margin was identical to the final tally between the conferences in 1999 and 2000. …
