The Malibu feels tight, quick and nimble and has plenty of room. The amazingly comfortable interior is GM's best effort in this class in years and has many thoughtful details. In almost 800 miles the only issues have been a front-end alignment and two minor trim pieces. I'd appreciate a larger fuel tank and more color choices. It may be expensive for a Chevy, but anyone replacing a Saab 900/9000 really ought to drive this before giving up on finding a versatile sedan or wagon replacement.

The V6 makes great power, the car has good handling and provides a very quiet ride for a Chevrolet. My wife loves the remote start option. The car has 6700 miles on it and we have already had two warranty claims, which we are not happy about. During the winter, a wire shorted out causing the wipers to stop working. It also blew a lot of fuses. Then the power steering went out. Instead of attaching the pump to the engine, GM has now located it in the steering column, requiring installation of a whole new column in the car.
