Dec. 3--Three hunters died during the gun-deer season that ended Sunday -- one of the safest seasons in Wisconsin.
Two hunters were shot to death, while the third died of head injuries after he fell out of his tree stand. There were 17 accidental shootings that injured hunters.
While it's tragic to lose any hunter to a shooting accident, authorities pointed out that this season was the fifth-safest in the state.
