Jul. 29--The Bank of Richmond posted its most profitable quarter in its five-year history.

It reported second-quarter net income of $184,236, up from $62,922 for the same period last year.

Total loans were up 37.1 percent to $82.9 million from the same period last year. Deposits rose 15.6 percent to $100.5 million. Total assets increased 14.3 percent to $116.5 million.

The bank operates four branches in the Richmond area and plans to open two more. …
