Aug. 14--Downtown Buffalo, dotted with buildings dating to the early 1900s, is on the verge of seeing a state-of-the-art, glass and steel, medical research complex rise in its medical corridor core.
Construction is scheduled to begin next month on a $24 million structural biology center for Hauptman-Woodward Medical Research Institute on Washington Street.
