Oct. 25--Not only does he have Oregon Hill's backing, he has its blessing.
Real estate developer Stephen Salomonsky has assembled half a city block in the Richmond neighborhood for the development of roughly 60 apartments. The units will be similar to the loft apartments built in recent months by Salomonsky and his father, H. Louis Salomonsky.
The Salomonskys are major developers of downtown Richmond, most recently renovating the Philip Morris lofts at 19th and Main streets.
The elder Salomonsky, who is vice chairman of the city's industrial development authority, was recently indicted on charges of bribery and lying to federal authorities. He allegedly attempted to buy City Councilwoman Gwen Hedgepeth's vote for a mayoral candidate. Both have pleaded …
