Sep. 4--The Thai subsidiaries of two consumer goods giants, Unilever and Procter & Gamble, are gearing up for a battle over a controversial comparative TV commercial in which one claims its anti-dandruff shampoo is better than the other's.
Unilever Thai Trading Ltd last night said it would take "serious" actions to stop P&G Thailand, part of US-based Procter & Gamble, from airing a TV advert that portrayed P&G's Head & Shoulders as superior to Unilever's Clinic.
