Sep. 3--Having failed to establish a presence in China twice, Twin Lotus Co, the Thai firm famous for its herbal toothpaste, will have another go this month by appointing a Chinese distributor.
A successful market re-entry would be followed by the establishment of a toothpaste manufacturing plant in China within two years.
The company also has appointed a distributor in Vietnam.
Managing director Piti Leelerdphun said the company stopped its operations in Shenzhen and Shantao, which it entered in 1997 and 2001 respectively, because of management and human resources problems.
