Sep. 3--Riei (Thailand) Co Ltd, a subsidiary of a major Japanese nursing care and long-stay provider, has joined with Kluaynamthai General Hospital to train workers to care for elderly Japanese in Thailand and Japan.
Currently, Japan does not permit foreign care workers but both the Thai and Japanese providers are confident that the Tokyo government will soon allow qualified Thai health-care staff to work in Japan, according to Takao Noda, chairman of Riei (Thailand).
