Sep. 2--Better-than-expected growth has prompted Ayudhya Allianz C.P. Life Plc (AACP) to revise up its projection of first-year premiums this year by one billion baht to six billion baht.

In the first seven months, first-year premiums jumped by 148 percent from the same period last year to 3.914 billion baht. Renewal premiums increased by 44.38 percent to 4.1 billion baht, while total premiums surged by 81.38 percent to 8.014 billion baht, said Krisana Kritmanorotem, director and chief agency officer.
