Oct. 3--Chao Saicheua has resigned as chairman of the state-owned Thai Asset Management Corporation.
The former Supreme Court chief justice said he was "heavy hearted" over an ongoing investigation at the TAMC about alleged conflicts, but declined to offer details.
"Actually, I had indicated from the beginning that I only wanted to stay two years. And with these issues, I decided to step down, " said Mr Chao, who submitted his resignation to the Finance Ministry on Wednesday.
