Oct. 2--Inevitably, in parallel with the maturing economy, the Thai life insurance industry is becoming huge. The industry's invested assets currently stand at over 300 billion baht. This figure represents the pooled investments of millions of Thai citizens, and it benefits the economy as a whole since the funds are reinvested in the debt and equity markets.
