Oct. 1--Directors of the Thai Asset Management Corporation will launch an investigation into four or five restructuring cases suspected of violating agency or government regulations.
Finance Minister Suchart Jaovisidha declined to offer details on the cases under investigation. TAMC chairman Chao Saichua is overseeing the cases.
"I'm not certain when the cases came before the National Counter-Corruption Commission. But I agree with the decision to launch an investigation, in the interests of fairness for all parties," Mr Suchart said.
