Oct. 6--An assignment as a chief executive of a telephone company after a career as a technocrat and a stint as deputy finance minister has convinced Pisit Leeahtham that the private sector is where he is best suited.

Dr Pisit, 52, is now looking for new challenges after completing a 30-month contract as chief executive of provincial fixed-line operator TT&T Plc.

He said he had already ruled out a return to politics, and for now will weigh the options available to him in the private sector.
