Oct. 6--Brett Peel, director of the kitchen at Laguna Beach Resort in Phuket, had only been on the job six weeks when he started wondering why his Thai staff would always say "yes" even though they did not understand what he had said.
His question was answered when he attended a two-day cross-cultural management training course last week organised by Laguna Resorts & Hotels Plc (LRH) for its young Thai and non-Thai management team.
