Nov. 5--Toyota Motor Thailand Co has announced plans to push the Lexus brand more aggressively with the goal of making it the best-selling premium car model in Thailand by 2010.

"From now on, more emphasis will be placed on nurturing our Lexus business in Thailand," Ryoichi Sasakin, president of Toyota Motor Thailand, said yesterday at the launch of two new Lexus models.

Toyota has boosted its Lexus product line-up with the introduction of the RX 300 sport utility vehicle and the updated LS 430 saloon at a Bangkok hotel.

Lexus, the luxury car arm of Toyota, has been relatively inactive in the Thai market ...
