Nov. 5--The government-supported planning team of Thai Petrochemical Industry Plc (TPI) yesterday pledged not to sell off a power plant and pier owned by TPI as proposed by the former administrators, Effective Planners Ltd (EPL).
Instead, the team was studying an increase in the power plant's generating capacity to meet higher demand, said member Pala Sookawesh, in response to a question by a TPI employee.
He said the restructuring team saw no need to sell off any assets for now since they remained useful and could help increase revenues for the firm.
