Nov. 4--Local business groups have agreed to purchase all agricultural output from Burma under the new Economic Co-operation Strategy (ECS) but on condition that Thai import tariffs are cut to zero under the new scheme.
Should the initiative become policy, it would signal a landmark in trade terms as Thailand now imports no farm goods from its neighbour to the west.
