Nov. 3--Siam Commercial Bank expects its increased focus on direct sales to help the bank maintain its leading position in the home mortgage market next year.
The bank currently has 168 direct sales staff in Bangkok and 300 nationwide, according to Saowaros Siriwan, SCB manager for direct sales.
"Direct sales teams offer an advantage through speed and flexibility. While our direct sales teams are on the frontlines, the branches are at the back offering documentation support and after-sales services," she said.
SCB was investing some five million baht in new notebook computer equipment to provide direct sales ...
