Nov. 10--ORLANDO, Fla.--As many as one in eight schoolchildren had at least three risk factors for diabetes and heart disease, according to a study presented in Orlando, Fla., Sunday.
The study and other new research suggest that a medical and financial crisis is looming, unless better preventive measures are taken.
The study involved 2,034 rural North Carolina schoolchildren ages 8 to 17.
