Nov. 6--Mazda Sales (Thailand) Co is spending more than 50 million baht on marketing to stimulate auto purchases in the last quarter of the year.

Managing director David Grakul said the company sold 7,073 vehicles in the first nine months of this year, September, a 23 percent increase from 5,753 units sold in the same period last year.

He said he was confident that more aggressive marketing would help lift monthly sales to 1,200-1,500 vehicles for the remaining months of the year, bringing annual sales to 10,000 units.
