Nov. 6--Traditional Thai export markets are expected to register double-digit growth this year, except the United States, which is likely to grow less than 1 percent from last year.
Nevertheless, it is expected to remain the country's second-largest export market in terms of value, after Asean.
In the first nine months of the year, the value of shipments to the key markets of Asean, the European Union and Japan grew 18.5 percent, 15 percent and 14.4 percent respectively. Shipments to the US, on the other hand, rose a mere 0.02 percent in the period, according to the Commerce Ministry.
