Nov. 6--The export value of auto parts from Thailand is expected to jump to $5 billion in the next three years from the projected $1.2 billion for this year, driven by rising production of vehicles with greater local content and free-trade agreements with major markets.
In particular, Thailand's free-trade area (FTA) agreements to be signed with the United States and Australia would help boost exports of auto parts, said Sookjai Leungmekul, vice-president of the Thai Auto-Parts Manufacturers Association.
