Dec. 5--The event management business is expected to grow significantly as the government is hiring private companies to organise exhibitions and conventions for public-sector clients, says a local event specialist.

In the past, the government ran the events by itself but now it has started to transfer the projects to the private sector, said Sermkun Kunawong, chief executive officer of CM Organiser, one of the country's leading event management companies.
