Dec. 4--The Malaysian motorcycle brand JRD is gearing up for a major push in Thailand in a bid to quadruple its sales next year in a market dominated by Japanese players.

JRD Bright Motor Industries Co, better known for its motor scooter technology, has a plant in the southern province of Songkhla and began selling its motorcycles in Thailand early this year.

Marketing director Jackson Cheong said the company was ready to offer a wider product line to cover every customer group and meet its ambitious sales target.
