Dec. 4--With its new 2.5-billion-baht, five-star convention hotel in the heart of Bangkok, the Central group aims to tap the growing Mice (meetings, incentives, conventions, exhibitions) market and compete head-on with Singapore and Hong Kong to attract high-spending visitors.
The Central World Plaza hotel, scheduled to open in early 2006, will be the largest convention hotel in Asia-Pacific with 500 rooms and convention space totalling 16,000 square metres, the company said.
