Dec. 4--Thailand's first fully fledged budget carrier, One-Two-Go, took to the skies yesterday, heralding a new chapter in the local aviation field, which is poised to grow much more competitive.
The 55-minute inaugural flight OX126 from Bangkok to Chiang Mai signalled the Thai-owned airline's aggressive plan, which includes offering at least four additional domestic routes and acquiring four more Boeing 757-200 jets next year.
One-Two-Go, owned by Orient Thai Airlines, also intends to offer scheduled services to neighbouring countries.
