Bridgestone Tyre Intent on Revitalising Its Firestone Brand in Thailand.

Dec. 3--Giant tyremaker Bridgestone plans to revitalise its Firestone brand in the Thai market as competition heats up from a major competitor and the replacement market remains slow.
The Japanese tyremaker yesterday announced a strategy to boost the sales of Firestone tyres by roughly 60 percent and to double the brand's market share in the replacement segment of the passenger car market to 10 percent within three years. Sales of tyres in the passenger car market were 2.6 million units last year.
