Dec. 3--Aberdeen Asset Management has adjusted its fixed-income fund strategy to invest in bonds with shorter durations as way to better cope with the increasing likelihood of more a volatile bond market ahead.
"We have revised our investment strategy for fixed-income funds because local interest rates are likely to increase after a possible rise of US interest rates by the Federal Reserve around the middle of next year," said Naree Pruksayaphai, fixed-income fund manager.
As well, she added, the country's steady economic recovery might result in higher inflation sometime next year.
