Dec. 1--Manufacturing sentiment dropped in October on concerns over a possible drop in exports due to intense price competition from China, according the Thai Industries Sentiment Index.
Santi Vilassakdanont, vice chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) said the index, based on a survey of entreprenuers taken by the FTI and the Thai Commerce of Commerce University, decreased to 108.7 from 112.6 in September.
Registering declines in October were the following sub-indices: Advance orders to 119.5 from 139.4 in the previous month, sales volume index to 120.4 from 139.9, output index to 117.9 from 130.9, ...
