Dec. 1--A five-man team went to Laguna Beach, California on a secret mission to be in the best environment for creating a new type of product for one of the most well-known companies in the world.
They hoped an environment of scenic beauty and full of interesting people would provide the inspiration and vision for developing a brand new luxury car for the competitive US market.
The team was made up of engineers sent from the Japanese headquarters of Toyota Motor Corp to create Lexus, the first luxury brand of the Japanese carmaker.
For the team, it was a challenging but fun experience.
