Dec. 8--As a result of a merger with two small insurance companies, Navakij Insurance Plc expects to collect over 1.45 billion baht in premiums in 2004, a rise from expected 1.3 billion baht this year.
According to Suchin Wanglee, the chairman of Navakij's executive board, by January next year, International Assurance would stop issuing new policies and a year later the listed Thai Commercial Insurance Plc (TCI) would do likewise and delist from the Stock Exchange of Thailand.
