Dec. 6--A Frenchman living in Thailand has built a business out of producing biker-inspired silver jewellery
'Someone says your home is where you make something, so here is my home. Thailand gives me a chance to be somebody to show my creativity and sell my products," says Thierry Martino, a French designer of biker-inspired silver jewellery.
The fortyish Mr Martino, a former sales representative of the French costume jewellery company Reminiscence, has been a jewellery trader and even had stints as an extra in Thai TV commercials. He decided to stay in Thailand to seek his fortune seven years ago.
He starting his business in a rented house with 50,000 baht in capital in 1999, and this year his Soulfetish brand generated about 20 million baht for his Silver Studio company.
