Dec. 6--Advertising is always an up and down business: One week you're nursing a splitting headache, the next you're heading straight to the bank.
The Martin Agency, Richmond's largest ad firm, got some disappointing news the day before Thanksgiving, when it lost a bid to pick up the $115 million Tylenol account, which was nabbed by Deutsch, a hot New York agency owned by Martin's parent company.
But things were looking up at the Shockoe Slip agency yesterday when it learned it had snatched the retail business of financial giant J.P. Morgan Chase & Co.
