DETROIT _ Detroit's Kronk Gym, home of many of the world's best boxers over the past 25 years, is the inspiration behind a new HBO weekly TV series to be produced by actor/comedian Billy Crystal.

The yet-to-be-named show will be part "Sopranos," part documentary, said Kronk boss Emanuel Steward, who'll consult and work with Crystal on the set.

"I think it will be blue-collar," Steward said. "Some names will be changed but the Kronk will be called that in the series."

Steward said he'd talk with Crystal again after the conclusion of the World Series between the New York Yankees and the Florida Marlins.
