A third Broward County, Fla., case of West Nile virus was confirmed on Friday in a 51-year-old woman who is hospitalized with serious symptoms, including partial paralysis.
The woman, whose name and residence were not released, contracted the mosquito-borne disease in the first week of August, about the same time as an earlier case, said officials at the Broward County Health Department. She is recovering in an undisclosed hospital.
