The Kenny Thomas Celebrity Basketball Classic never made it to tipoff.

The game, which was scheduled Saturday night at The Pit, won't be played, Thomas said Tuesday.

A late start in organizing the game, complicated paperwork and the NBA's strict guidelines for such events did it in, Thomas said. The league requires disability insurance for the participating players and a $50,000 line of credit, Thomas said.
