On May 19, Jacqueline A. Blake, a biologist employed at the FBI laboratory, admitted to "submitting falsified DNA analysis reports in more than 100 cases," reported the AP. As part of an agreement reached with prosecutors, Blake pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court to a single count of "making false statements on official government reports she prepared." She admitted to doing this "even though she knew her work might be used in criminal investigations and in trial testimony."
