Talk about an automotive enthusiast's version of a kid- in-the-candy-store conundrum-which is the best sports car sold in America? Two years ago the Chevrolet Corvette grabbed top honors. Last year the Vette was bested by Porsche's 911. This year the title returns to Corvette. And let's be honest here. Each one of those years' votes was a dangling-chad nail-biter.
Now think about this: The 2004 vote had wild cards thrown in with the ultra-cool Ford GT and the exotic Porsche Carrera GT. Sports car enthusiasts had a greater America's Best car menu from which to choose.
