Exolon directors get their day in court for company control. (Exolon-ESK Co. faces lawsuit filed by Wacker Chemical Corp.)

A Delaware state judge has set a Feb. 26 trial date to decide who should run Exolon-ESK Co. in Tonawanda.

The struggle for control started when a shareholder group that includes a dissident director ousted four common directors in late December.

The move prompted Wacker Chemical Corp., which seeks to buy Exolon and take it private, to file a lawsuit Dec. 31 challenging the removal.

Exolon-ESK makes abrasive products and employs about 150 locally. Half of the company is owned by Wacker Chemical, based in Williamsburg, Va. The other half is publicly traded on the Boston Stock Exchange.
