Jul. 6--Thoresen Thai Agencies Plc (TTA) is upbeat about its financial performance this year, saying aggressive business expansion to cash in on surging shipping demand will help double its revenue and quadruple its net profit, according to chairman M R Chandram S Chandratat.

He said the 12 vessels the group had acquired so far this year had raised Thoresen's cargo handling capacity by about 20 percent to 1.1 million deadweight tonnes (DWT) from 800,000 DWT. The aggressive expansion is in response to an increased volume of products to be shipped overseas.
