Jul. 6--Prachai Leophairatana, the former chief executive of Thai Petrochemical Industry Plc, has proposed six amendments to the company's debt restructuring plan to the Finance Ministry, citing fairness to the debtor.
"Although the new plan conducted by the Finance Ministry-appointed planning team is good and Finance Minister Somkid Jatusripitak insists that the plan must be followed, I hope he will accept my proposal for minor amendments that will ensure fairness," said Mr Prachai.
The amendments include:
--Scrap plans to both reduce capital and write off accumulated losses worth 80 billion baht.
