Jul. 6--A potential buyout of the BTS skytrain concession could cost the government as much as 50 billion baht, according to the Finance Ministry's officials.
The ministry is studying the concept as part of a broader plan aimed at integrating the skytrain with the newly opened subway system.
Bangkok's skytrain and subway systems should be integrated to increase convenience for commuters and reduce rider fares, according to Utid Tamwatin, a deputy finance permanent-secretary.
