Jul. 6--SPIDER-MAN 2 SETS SALES RECORD: Spider-Man 2 earned more than 100 million baht in its first four days, becoming the highest-grossing movie in the history of Columbia TriStar Buena Vista Films (Thailand) Co (CTBV).
Last year, CTBV said Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines took in 100 million baht in its first five days.
Sales of Spider-Man 2 are expected to surpass 160 million baht this week.
So far this year, the highest-grossing movie in Thailand has been Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King at 193 million baht, imported by Mongkol Major, followed by Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban at 160 million baht, from 20th Century Fox (Thailand).
